At the moment we are not taking any submissions for The Poundshop or The Garage Sale but generally this is how it works:

The Brief:
Design and produce one item to retail under the strict price brackets of £1, £3 and £5.
It must be a desirable, durable, value for money object.
Your product must have a function as well as being an attractive / well designed object.
You must produce a fully realised prototype for submission.

To think about:
If successful, you may enter a maximum of three variations of each product.
We are mainly accepting £1 and £3 products.
Your production cost per unit should be around a third of the retail price.
You must make a profit to cover overheads and most importantly your time.
It can be any size, cheap doesn’t have to mean small.
Cards are great, but we only take on a few of them and are mostly looking for other items.
Would you buy your own product? If you wouldn’t buy it, don’t expect others to.

For past product ideas, please see our pinterest and instagram.
